French language qualifications: French is my first language, so I have native proficiency in French reading, writing, and oral skills. I taught an early French learner for two years on a weekly basis, was funded by the provincial government through the Serving Community Internship Program (SCiP) to coach French debate to high school students at École Michaelle-Jean in Edmonton for three years, and co-founded the French debate branch of the University of Alberta Debate Society in 2019 to practice university-level French debate.
Science/math qualifications: I worked as an early learners instructor at Kumon for 2 years teaching math. I also graduated with a BSc with Honors in Immunology and Infection at the University of Alberta, so have taken basic and advanced math and science undergraduate courses. I am heavily involved in science research at the University of Alberta – my research was funded as a summer research student in 2019 and 2020 with publications, and I completed an undergraduate research thesis in April 2021. Finally, I have experience taking the MCAT exam and doing traditional panel/MMI medical school interviews.
